Dr. Kingsley A. Ogudo received the Master in Electrical Electronics/telecommunication engineering and Doctoral Degree in electrical and electronics engineering technology from the Tshwane University of Technology (TUT), South Africa, in 2010 and 2016 respectively. He received his Ph.D. in Electronics and Optoelectronics systems from the University of Paris Est, France in July year 2018. His research interest includes electronic, optoelectronic devices, Power electronics; System Integration of Devices based on Renewable Energy management Sources, Telecommunication engineering high-frequency electronics, AI, IoT and Data Analytics, physics and applied mathematics. He is a Professional Engineer Technologist certified by ECSA and he is a senior member of the IEEE Society. He is a Fellow at SAIEE, and Secretary General for SAIEE Entrepreneur & innovation chapter. He has lectured in three different university (Tshwane University of Technology, UNISA and UJ) for the past 12 years, and has thought different electrical & electronics engineering modules (Subjects) to both undergraduates and post-graduates students. He has acted as an associate guest editor for prestigious journals, and as an editor of a book for the past 5 years. He has published over 100 international ISI Journal articles and international conference papers. He is currently an Associate Professor/Researcher at the Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering Technology, University of Johannesburg (UJ), South Africa. |
Dr. Sameerchand Pudaruth is an Associate Professor at the University of Mauritius. He has a PhD in Artificial Intelligence. He also holds an LLB from the University of London. He is currently at the ICT Department in the Faculty of Information,Communication & Digital Technologies. He is a senior member of IEEE and a founding member of the IEEE Mauritius Section. He is also a member of the British Computer Society (BCS). His research interests are Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Data Science, Machine Translation, Computer Vision, Robotics, Mobile Applications, Web Technologies, and Information Technology Law. He has written more than 90+ papers for national & international journals and conferences. He has worked on many funded projects from the Higher Education Commission, Mauritius Research and Innovation Council and the University of Mauritius. He has been in the organising committee of many successful international conferences such as Africon 2013, IST Africa 2014, Africon 2015, ICCCS 2015, BigData 2015, DIPECC 2015, Africhi 2016, Emergitech 2016, NextComp, ISCMI 2017, Mauritian Academic Conference 2018, icABCD 2018-2022, Elecom 2018-2022, and ICONIC 2018-2022. He has also written a book entitled, ‘Python in One Week’. |
Dr. Sheeba Armoogum is an Associate Professor at the Department of Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) at the University of Mauritius (UoM). She received her PhD in Cybersecurity from the University of Technology, Mauritius, and she also holds a South African Patent in Cybersecurity, which is classified under the World Intellectual Property Organisation (WIPO) Inventor Class H04L. She is a Research Fellow at the INTI International University, Malaysia and the Interim Chairperson for the Southern African Federation & Engineering Organisation (SAFEO) Industry Committee on ICT. She is an Executive Member of the International Cyber Security & Investigation Committee (ICSIC) to assist in cross-border investigation of online crime and provide the latest cyber security solutions. This year, 2023, in recognition of her tenacity, innovative contribution and inspirational qualities, she was awarded the Global Women Inventors & Innovators Network (GlobalWIIN) Special Recognition Award 2023 for her patented work. She is also a recipient of several other international awards. Currently, she heads the university’s CyberSecurity & Forensics Research Group (CSFRG). Dr. Sheeba has participated in numerous national and international seminars, conferences and forums as a Keynote speaker/Invited Speaker/Main Speaker. Her research interest focuses on Cybersecurity, Cyber Forensics, Cyberpsychology, Brain-Computer Interface (BCI), Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, and Wireless and Mobile Networking. She has authored numerous publications in reputed journals and conferences. |
Welcome to the official portal of ICARTI 2023: The International Conference on Artificial Intelligence and its Applications. It will be held on the 9th and 10th of November 2023 in Mauritius. This conference will provide an opportunity to academic researchers, industry professionals, government delegates and students to interact and share their experiences and knowledge on cutting-edge developments in the fields of Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Deep Learning & their applications, Robotics, Computer Vision & AI in Society. Our main objective is to promote scientific and educational activities towards the advancement of knowledge by improving the theory and practice of Artificial Intelligence and its applications.
Papers are invited for ICARTI on topics lying within the scope of the conference. All contributions must be of high quality, original, and must not have been previously published elsewhere or intended for publication elsewhere.
All papers will be reviewed by members of the International Programme Committee and depending on their degree of innovativeness and quality of presentation, may be selected for oral or poster presentation and publication in the conference proceedings. All submissions will be reviewed by at least three independent reviewers by following a double-blind review process.
